CHESTERFIELD HOUSE ROCKINGHAM WESTERN AUSTRALIA
This building was first built as an inn in 1857. The building has since been added to and has had a varied history of occupation, to be finally abandoned in 1994. It has now fallen into disrepair and been destroyed by vandals. Since the 1960s this property has had a reputation for haunting, especially in the older rooms off the main hallway. The above photo of the front of the building was taken on a moonless night with a 2hr exposure. This shows the setup we use during this survey, with two other cameras in view. Note the rather odd dark shape next to the rock in the foreground. We cannot account for this object.

The most productive area of this property was at the rear. On three separate occasions moving lights were recorded. 1 1/2hr exposures were used to record these images, so the white lines recorded were in fact one spot of light that moved across the field of view during the exposure. The top and bottom pair were taken with 100asa colour film and the central pair are infra-red film. The right hand photos are enlargements of those on the left.

This photo (The right being an enhanced enlargement of the photo on the left) was taken by the backup camera which is intended to record the same view as the other two.On this occasion the cameras in this image did not record anything unusual. However as you can see some very strange coloured patches appeared on this 1hr exposure on a moonlit night, from 11pm to12am.100asa colour film was used on this occasion.
